Breakdown here. The conclusion page gives a good indication of what NOT to buy (or what to replace if you've already bought it).

Interesting read. I noticed PC Power & Cooling wasn't listed in the PSU section, which is not surprising - I don't believe I've ever seen one on a retailer shelf. Great power supplies.

To me, the surprise of the article was the low OCZ rating.

It's based on the datasets from a French e-tailer so I guess it reflects commonly available brands that have an international supply chain.

I've seen many motherboard troubleshooting threads over the last couple of years that have been fixed by swapping out the OCZ RAM; as the current usage of SSD's is low due to their novelty (and I'm not currently in the market to buy one), I've not noticed any similar trend with the OCZ SSD's being commonly thought of as being 'bad'.

All it takes with something as fashionable as SSD's is one great review of a product that's subsequently discovered to have a basic firmware bug and you see a high level of returns; there's a parallel with the Samsung F1 HDD's.

I'd thank you Satrow but I'm depressed now,my PSU corsair TX-950 has a return rate over 5%:(

There's such a small percentage in them though I'm sure the results would vary wildly region to region.

Hmm, if the makers used different manufacturing bases for different regions, then I'd probably have to agree with you. Even where makers do produce a specific model in several countries, they can, and often do, turn up for sale at the same e-tail/retail outlet, though rarely on the same shelf at the same time.

Until more suppliers come clean with their returns data, we'll just have to guess at what the global situation is ;)
