I got a virus on my computer awhile ago and it is a fairly old computer and i didnt really feel it was worth all the trouble trying to fix it and remove the virus. My question is, is it ok to leave a computer with a virus on it. I dont plan to ever use it again, its just sitting a closet shut off. I just wanted to make sure that this is ok to do.

If it's never going to be used again then the virus can do no harm. But for security and safety reasons you should format the drive. Or if it's just going to be thrown away take a hammer to it!
