After years of lurking, I have arrived...
    LOVVVVE this site.

I have used combofix over the years on my xp and now win7.
Alarmingly this time after combofix was done, I am now left with 15gig of less drive space and new directories.

I have posted several places that never write back with resolve, so I am hoping for help.

    In Folder Options,
    • do not show hidden and
    • hide protected are still marked.
I have tried oodles of cleaners and even wrote the actual publisher of combofix who talked of un installing, but it does not install, all that is offered for download is portable.

Attached are the new directories taking up the 15gig space. I would love to KNOW if I can simply delete....that they are in fact NOT the ones needed for win7 OS.

Qoobox can be deleted. As to your windows folder...not sure what is in there, but if there are programs already uninstalled, Run CCleaner.

Much deep thanks on your quick reply ☺these are actual extras.....if I do show hidden and unhide protected I get my real windows dir.

These were all new immediately after combofix ran. I truly cannot contribute anything else to this happening I had not used my machine in a couple weeks and decided to run combofix so that is the culprit.

The ProgData is filled with current mirror directories of my ProgFiles and also contains old stuff I uninstalled months ago.

You know how show encrypted in folder options...colorize has the name of files directories in Blue..green whatever and I have been trying to find a freeware that would do that with my systems files in a certain color so I can safely delete these things knowing they really were not important anymore without messing anything up.

I tried CCleaner it didn't recognize any of these including the ones I had long since uninstalled

    ( throwing hands up)

Have you right clicked those program files that you say were deleted and just delete them again from that folder?

If they are gone...they should not be using disc space.
