Legacy OS Linux for saving old PC's from Landfill

Hello Everyone,
I developed Legacy OS to save old Pentium 3 & 4 PC's / Laptops from ending up in Landfill polluting the earth. There are still locked away in cupboards / attics perfectly usable PC's that could benefit from having Legacy OS replace Windows 98 / Me. Legacy OS turns an old PC in to a usable second PC for Web Surfing, email, music, drawing, multimedia, office etc for those less fortunate in our community. It's my small contribution to making software excess-able to those who really need it and is done for free in my spare time.

Legacy OS is based on the 2 series with some updates example glibc updated to 2.5 as used in the 3 series. This allows the current version of Flash to work as well as Adobe 9.3 pdf reader all on a PC the originally came out with windows 98 / Me

made an old amd duron from win 98 days come alive after picking it up at a yard sale for $1.00 with all the
cd's the people had.

now running Legacy OS on this old box, and it looks very moderen, so easy to install even a dufus could do it. :cool

now looking for a old lappy. :foolish

Good job John. I salvaged two laptops from going into the landfill. Now the task is to get you up the DistroWatch. Do you have a separate forum for Legacy OS, might help.

The more I read and the more I learn about Open source Operating systems and programs, the more I am so happy I got into it.
I know it has been awhile since John Biles posted about Legacy OS and I do hope he makes it back here to read this.

Awesome job John!!!!! I will most definitely DL Legacy OS. I know I will have absolutely NO problem finding an old P 3 or 4 desktop that is just waiting to be fired back up. Matter of fact, this is just the excuse I need to go out and find one. :hyper:hyper:clap:clap:dancer:dancer
