Legit MS app?

    Attached is a jpg screenshot of an app that popped up on my friend's Compaq last night. I looked thru the All Program list and saw nothing that related to this. I also opened the task manager before I closed it and saw no change there either. Is it legit?
    Thanks.

    Oh yeah... I ran several malware scans and it's basically clean according to the scans. Just some tracking cookies and something called AdRotator....

    Not a massive amount of info to go on, but that is not as far as I know a Microsoft application as its security app to test for missing hotfixes is the Microsoft Baseline Analyser,


    but closely looking at the image you posted, does your friend have Trend Antivirus or Internet Security Suite? as the logo on the top left corner looks partly Trend in its look.
