I prefer the function keys to have the standard Windows functions but on my Thinkpad they default to Lenovo defintions. By holding down the Fn key you do get the option to switch but you have to do this once every session. Has anyone found a way to permanently switch them?

    Greetings Earthling.

According to superuser there may be a possible BIOS setting: Advanced -> Function Key Behavior -> Function Key First

Just a quickie - no idea if it applies to your machine, but it's worth a shot.

This is worrying - why the devil didn't I think of checking the BIOS instead of wasting time searching for a reg key? :eek
