Eric! I borrowed your quotes from other threads to put here as they are pretty much perfect! WTG!! You get 5 gold stars! And, as it appears from reading threads this morning further explanation is needed for a few people I'll take this opportunity to do so.

If a thread is deleted/closed it was done for a good reason and another one should not be started to replace it in the way that this was. This also means there is no need to carry on in other threads (more than one at that!) as to the whys of it...just move on and leave it be. Further posts of this nature will be deleted in order to maintain the threads original topic. When people sign up here they have to agree to the terms of this site before becoming a member...the terms clearly state: "The owners of MajorGeeks Support forums reserve the right to edit, move or close any thread for any reason, at any time."

The lounge is in a sad state with a large number of threads being hijacked by newer members who are more concerned about their post count than respect and consideration for the thread starter's topic. Instead we see the threads being taken over and turned into a chat room like scenario. While the lounge is for off topic discussions it is not intended to be a gab fest where the original topic is soon taken over by a select few pushing the thread starter and those participating in the topic right out of the thread. This is rude, disrespectful and inconsiderate...things we do not tolerate here. If you don't have something legitimate to contribute to a threads original topic stay out of it rather than posting some smart ass off hand comment. There has been adequate time to get acclimated to how things work here (this isn't romper room!). There have been plenty of comments and direct replies given by several members to help educate those that don't seem to 'get it' or just choose not to grasp it...and still the garbage continues. Enough is enough.
