Glad to see that your are up and about AbbySue! I have some suggestions about Lev's avatar. Add some antlers and a pair of "yeller" shorts to the picture and it will be perfect.

On an absolutely-not-related-to-anything-discussed-here note, Abby is so caught up in this NASCAR race on TV that the tacos she was cooking are now itty-bitty smoldering pieces of what would have been a killer dinner

I know you're not a NASCAR fan, so what do you do to fill time when it's on the boob tube?

Either catch up on the sleep I don't get during the week, or just mess around with some graphics programs on the computer.

On a happier note, she saved the tacos; nothing burying them in taco sauce couldn't cure

 

Life is good!

 

I got a decent nap this afternoon, and woke up and went the supermarket to get the ingreedaments for the tacos; everyone at that store pretty much knows me from shopping there so long, it was hilarious having several of the store folks look at me and say, "did you just wake up?"

 

Comb your hair first next time.

 

I did! Therein lies my quandry: when I'm awake, I look asleep. At least in the hair department

 

I'd suggest trying to sleepwalk your way through the supermarket, but you might not like what you bring home.

 

Probably end up with something like a lima bean and beets cassarole

In my pre-Abby days, I used to cook quite frequently for myself, but after a while I started having trouble telling the meat from the cake.

 

Nothing worse than meat-loaf with vanilla icing.

I tend to keep my cooking simple. If I want fancy, I let the professionals do it.

 

...or chocolate ice cream with ketchup (catsup, if you go there)

I used to enjoy cooking, but Abby being here has led me to believe I was missing a key ingredient: flavor

 

LOL. Or talent.

We could all be great cooks if we really wanted to, but life's too short.

My sister got all the cooking genes in our family. She's a GREAT cook. Spent some years working with Greek, then Iranian students, and learned to cook a lot of their dishes. Eating at her house is frequently a surprise... usually a good one.

 

Hmmm looks like Lev is another one to join the fowl yard, LoL!

@ Star:- Yup, I know that tired feeling right now. I just started nodding off on the sofa last night, because I hadn't slept hardly in days. Then at about 10:30 at night - wouldn't ya know it. Rap, rap, rap at the door! Grrrr! Some 'friends' wanted to pick up a job I did for them, which would be bad enough, but one them FORGOT that I already gave it to him days ago (Yeah, I know, don't ask!). So much for any delusions of getting some rest.

Tacos, hmm, that reminds me. I seem to recall a Taco kit in the pantry yesterday, after I too, did a little 'sleep shopping' Maybe for lunch. Perhaps a belt of chilli will keep my eyes open for the rest of the day, which unfortunately, has only just begun, here. <*sigh!>

I killed 7 of her tacos, so it's time to take an after dinner walk around the neighborhood. It's a dreary, drizzily, windy night; perfect for a walk. Be back a bit later.
