Hi, I've been using a Lexar Jumpdrive 2.0 256 MB for several months. A couple of days ago, I believe I corrupted the files/device when it wasn't fully inserted into the USB port. I'm running XP on IBM ThinkPad T30. Now, when I try and reformat the drive using either FAT or FAT32, the Windows utility appears to run but ultimately returns the message that Windows could not complete the format.

I've tried other dedicated format utilities downloaded from the net with the same results. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Fortunately, the data on the drive was expendable but is there anyway to salvage the device?

Thanks for any help you can give me.
