this is the error I get with the lexmark driver.

C:\Windows\system32\Autoexec.nt. The system file is not suitable for running ms-Dos and microsoft windows applications.

I have used this driver before, both the downloaded driver and the driver from the cd have the same error. Any suggestions.

Are you sure you followed the instructions precisely? That fix normally works for your error.

ya, the only problem is that, u need the program because it's a scanner too, so u need the program software to scan. :S

What model printer is it, and what is the driver filename you are trying to install?

No it shouldn't. It's not a driver name.

It's an error caused by corrupt or missing system files.

@Kitz, post the exact driver filename you are trying to install, then pay a visit to the MalWare Removal Forum as some viruses can also cause this.

Just something you might try and if it doesn't work you can change it back.

Check the "LEXbce server" service and see if it is disabled. If it is, set it to automatic and see if that makes a difference.

To check the service: Right click "My Computer" -> Manage > "Services and Applications" > services
