Lexmark z82 drivers-CJXP82LE-Z82update HELP!

I just reinstalled windows and finaly upgraded to SP2, so in doing so I have to put all my drivers back. Well all drivers work great except my printer drivers(Imagine that). So I called lexmark and they said they would not help me unless I payed them $25.(BS!!). So I am trying to see if anyone at all has one of these 'LEXMARK Z82' to help me getting it working again PLS!!!!!

This is what I have done so far

I reintalled windows xp pro with sp2.I can't get the drivers to install properly, the driver that fails is "z82update".I have been to all the links in you knowledge base at lexmark and have found no solution to this problem. Heres what I did - I installed smarthru 2 and went into custom settings and unchecked 'MFP DRIVERS" as per the knowledge base. then reboot. Then I installed "CJXP82LE", again reboot. All good so far. Next thing was to install Z82update, this is where the problem is. Once I unzip and try installing, it pops up a download screen and does nothing. It says "F/W download utility" at top with a message under it - "To download F/W properly, you should have Z82 printer driver installed on your computer". I cannot close this window or get it to download what its supposed to do. Also I have noticed on the display screen of the printer it says "downloading....". To close F/W utility I have to end task, and to get rid of the 'downloading....' from the printer I have to unplug and reset. I also uninstalled everything and tryed the 2 drivers withought installing Smarthru first. Same result. So in the end the printer driver works, but the firmware doesnt work, and neither does the printer.

Question- Is there anything I did wrong, or anything I could do/try to get this running? I wonder if SP2 has anything to do with this?!
