lg f7200 help

I got a lg f7200 phone for my sons "first phone" but it wont stay on more than a few seconds. I made sure the battery was completely charged and even bought a new battery but it still wont stay on.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi

Is this a new phone or a 2nd hand or hand me down? only curious as to if new then take it back and if 2nd hand was it working before you got it for your son?

What network are you on for your son and what was it originally if a new phone/2nd hand (are they the same, as some phones are SIM locked to a particular network)?

I would be tempted to do a factory reset HERE (note data, contacts etc on the phone will be erased).

its a hand me down but hasn't been used in a few yrs, its on at&t network which is what I'm using, and I tried to do a reset but it wont stay on long enough

Hi

Sadly very likely its broken, especially as you replaced the old battery with a new one, sounds a if its not holding onto the power from the battery long enough to keep the phone running.

You could email LG Support and ask if they know a fix or what the issue could be http://www.lg.com/us/support
