Hi. I purchassed recently a LG e2350t LCD monitor. I was told that it is a "plug and play" device that does not require a driver. It really worked, but some functions were greyed out. I installed some software that was included in the package including two drivers (dvi and vga).
Now everything workes, but only in dvi conection. When I conect the vga cable instead ov the dvi one, the screen goes black.
My computer runs Windows XP Pro SP3.
How can I enable the vga mode? Should I install only the driver for the mode that I want to use ? I would obviously preffer a method to switch between dvi and vga just by changing the monitor cables.
    Thanks for any input.

Why would you switch? I wouldn't do it unless the computer is turned off. ive had windows crash when i tried plugging in a 2nd monitor while it was on.

Thanks for the fast response. Perhaps I was not very specific. By switching I ment changing, unplaging, plaging, restarting. I fully understand what you are telling me. And even the "cold switching" that I did caused the computer to "freeze" in the black screen condition, and only unplugging it from the electric supply helped.
    Thanks !
