    I have a p4 lga775 550, and with the stock heatsink i was getting
temps of 50 idle 70 load (celcius) I put in a thermaltake jungle 512
got the idle to about 43 load 60, but it was way too noisy, put in a
gigabyte 3D cooler pro, now idle around 45 load 68 with the fan turned
up to high, I was wondering if someone could recomend a heatsink and fan
that will cool it better than it is and also be as quiet as the
gigabyte 3D cooler, i am usind an Asus P5GDC-V Deluxe board 7 an Antec
Sonata case with 2 120mm fans. I would apprecciate any help you can
    give.

dont worry about it.. prescotts are super super hot (prescott being the core name of your proccesor) they run really hot...

you might try getting a thermalright 120 ... but make sure it's compatible with your board otherwise a thermalright 90 ... or go for water cooling but most ppl don't like em cause if they take a dump your system is SCREWED! ... but I don't think you're ever gonna get a nice <35c idle with a prescott

Did you apply grease or use the "thermal pad" that comes with the HS?
