limewire wont stop opening

hi there! sorry there were a few threads similar to this but none of them really helped.

limewire keeps on opening up by itself and ctrl alt del doesnt work...



i dont know what sun java is

i've uninstalled any programs on add/remove programs

ive deleted all quarantined files from norton

norton recycle bin and my recycle bin are empty

i downloaded and ran CCleaner but before it fixed anything, it asked me to purchase it =/

what should i do now? do i have to purchase it before i can continue posting? thanks!!!!

Are you having any poblems related to a malware infection, or are you just having trouble with limewire issues right now? The reason I ask you this is because, if it is #1 a malware infection I will try and help you remove any problems on your computer, but if it is #2 limewire issues then I will not help you, because in my opinion the only solution to those kind of programs, like limewire is a complete uninstall of it. That I will glady help you with

thanks for the quick reply! you know, i never thought of unistalling limewire. haha ill do that first thing when i get home. i'll then reinstall it. hopefully everything will be back to normal.

I"m going to go ahead and assume that this was only related to limewire then and unsubscribe from this topic now.

 

ok. ive uninstalled limewire. but then this keeps popping up:

hi rip chain =)

im actually quite worried now... i have followed each of those steps in the Malware removal guide very carefully [its taken 7 hours =P] but there have been errors all over the place with each of those programs that i ran from the WINDOWS XP CLEANING PROCEDURE.

when i ran combofix.exe, i got this error

...then it continued and these were the results

...2 problems werent fixed apparantly so i've set it ro run again on startup. ill do that in a sec and post the results [again]

when i ran AVG Anti-Spyware, it took around 4hours to scan everything but no report was generated afterwards

im up to runnin the MGtools right now so i'll have to restart the computer... brb
