limited or no connection

ok so I have a desktop computer that is wired for internet through my linksys wireless router. and one day I was a way at work and come home to find that my computer wasn't connect to the Internet. so I restart and it said "limited or no connection" and so I check my upstairs laptop to make sure it wasnt that router again. nope works fine, hell im on the laptop as i type! so I do an un-install of the network card through the device manager and then reinstall. nope. didnt work. so I pull the damn thing out and put it in a new port, but no go. So I was like crap, and re-installed windows. But it still didnt work. But now I cant even log on to the computer because its past the 30day thing and because I didnt have inte net for it I couldnt do the little program im locked out. Can some one tell me whats wrong? I plan on buying a new card because three people and one laptop = alot of waiting time for the net.

 

Other possibilities,
Bad port on router, try another port.
Bad cable. Get another cable and try.
Try booting into safe mode with networking, see if that works.

yeah I checked the cord and router. no go. I'm going to try and buy a new card and seeing if that works, if it doesnt Im going to throw it out the window. hahaha

yeah its not worth doing that call in thing if I cant get the net.
