    Hello everyone,
As of Sunday night, I have been unable to connect to the internet through my PC.
It happened at about 1:00am on Monday, and all day yesterday I have been trying to fix the problem. I think I've followed the instructions correctly, however, before I found the Read and Run me guide, I attempted to get rid of malware with MBAM and it found about 5 threats. when I did it again, it didnt find any so i'll attach the logfile that did find something. I am unable to connect to the internet 90% of the time with my PC (but I have no problems with my PS3, Ive actually had to navigate through the MG FAQ's and stickys through my PS3's web browser and download every program and update onto a thumb drive), and I cant seem to fix my issue, so Im attaching my logs. If anyone can please help me, I would really appreciate it. My job is selling car parts online from home, and the loss of my internet connectivity is actually causing me to lose money, so I could really use the help.

    Thanks for your time.

You may have to tell me exactly what is happening with your connection.....I assume it is with both the wireless and wired?

Let's get rid of this nasty:

Please disable all anti-virus and anti-spyware programs while we do the following (re-enable when you are finished):

Run C:\MGtools\analyse.exe by double clicking on it. (Note: if using Vista, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator). This is really HijackThis (select Do a system scan only) and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:
    After clicking Fix, exit HJT.

Open notepad and copy and paste the following text in the quote box into the window:
    Save this as fix.bat
Choose to save as all files.
Doubleclick fix.bat and let the program run.
A small black dos window will flash, this is normal.

Now use windows explorer to find and delete:
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\BOONTY Shared

Tell me how that went and what is still happening.

thanks for replying. I followed your instructions. I still seem to have the same problem. Its a wired connection, but when I open firefox or IE, i cant connect to websites. Sometimes it works after hitting refresh after everytime it fails, but usually it wont be able to load the page. I can use AIM for a little while also , but I get disconnected frequently. After a few tries, it reconnects. It seem thats the only problems now. I cant go to any websites still, so Im using my PS3 to reply.

Sounds like either a problem with your nic card or with your isp...you should post in the networking section. :(

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:

    1. We recommed you keep SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware. Unless you purchase them, they provide no protection. They do not use any significan amount of resources ( except a little disk space ) until you run a scan.
    2. If we used Pocket Killbox during your cleanup, do the below

      * Run Pocket Killbox and select File, Cleanup, Delete All Backups
    3. If we had you use ComboFix, uninstall ComboFix (This uninstall will only work as written if you installed ComboFix on your Desktop like we requested.)
      • Click START then RUN and enter the below into the run box and then click OK. Note the quotes are required
      • "%userprofile%\Desktop\combofix" /u
        • Notes: The space between the combofix" and the /u, it must be there.
        • This will uninstall ComboFix and also reset hidden files and folders settings back to Windows defaults.

      • Delete the C:\combo-fix folder from combofix.

    4. If we had you run Avenger, you can delete all files related to Avenger now.
    5. If we had you run RenV.exe, you can delete it and the Log.txt file on your Desktop.
    6. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    7. If we had you download any registry patches like fixme.reg or fixWLK.reg (or any others), you can delete these files now.
    8. If running Vista, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    9. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis.
    10. You can delete the C:\MGtools folder and the C:\MGtools.exe file. You can also delete the C:\MGlogs.zip
    11. If you are running Vista, Windows XP or Windows ME, do the below:
      • Refer to the cleaning steps in the READ ME for your Window version and see the steps to Disable System Restore which will flush your Restore Points.
      • Then reboot and Enable System Restore to create a new clean Restore Point.

    12. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:

Alright, thanks. I'll search the networking section and see it I can find a solution before posting there. One last question though. Everytime I restart, I get an error about "PCarmDrv.exe" i think was it. This wasnt happening before all the cleaning. Could this be some stubborn virus?

That I think has to do with a camera (?) program, which you may have to reinstall.

Good luck and safe surfing. :)
