I bought a hyudai l90d+ 19 inch lcd monitor about a month ago.It has been great so far. Today it started as normal, I went out to mow the lawn and when I came back I have a red line from top to bottem about a half inch from the right hand edge of the screen( through the "m" in the pm of the clock) I tried rebooting and its still there. It almost seems as if the monitor is being forced into another resoloution when it boots but is still reading 1280 x 1024@60htz( native res.) does anybody have any Ideas on this?

    asus a8n-e mother board
    athlon 3000 64bit
    geforce 6600gt PCI-E(super generic brand)77.30 drivers
    on board sound
2 gigs corsair valu ram ddr 400

Just to add on . I unhooked the lcd from computer and turned it on and still have the red line on the "test-pattern" screen. I then hooked up an old 17 crt to the computer and no red line so it is in the lcd monitor. I'm going to check thier site for FAQ.

Go to best buy and ask for a pixel-fix dvd.
It's supposed to fix stuck pixels, might help you out, maybe not.

I'm a bit dubious of these things, however, if you want to try one, HERE is some info and a download link.

They used to, well it's link here so it doesn't realy matter now.
I heard they realy helped on Sony PSPs, but they had stuck pixel, not broken ones, and I suppose broken ones are still better than lines, but it's worth a try.
If you have a warrenty for it, that would be a good way to go.

well I tried that link , good info but didn't work for me. I guess I'll call the manufacturer(hyundai). they wern't there when I called earlier, I guess they work daytime hours. So a line from top to bottem is how many dead pixals, the warranty says I have to have at least 10 I would think top to bottem would be like 100 am I wrong????

If it's under warranty, then the issue you are experiencing should be covered. That is a pretty serious defect.

    Anyway, good luck.

It should be its only 3 weeks old. just to update I now have three lines down the right side. the original red line turned purple, now i have a blue line an inch from that one closer to the center, and an intermitten aqua line about four inches from the right side. I hope to get a chance to call tommorrow because I would say this is a warrenty issue. I'll keep post going just in case someone else experiances this in the future.

"I would think top to bottem would be like 100 am I wrong????"

Since your native resolution is 1280x1024, then a line from top to bottom would be 1024 dead/stuck pixels. :)

Is the line there during boot? Is the line there when you have the monitor on but not the computer? Have you tried plugging it into another computer?

wyatt- yes athe lines are there when I boot and when the monitor is powered up and not hooked to the computer. I have not tried to hook it to another computer because I dont have another. But I did hook a crt to this computer and no lines on it. good call on 1024 never thought about it in that way, thats why I'm not a scientist>

i contacted hyundai, they sent me an rma form and after I emailed it back to them they sent me an email confirming that fedex ground will pick the monitor up, and that they would fix it. the guy on the phone said it sounded like a loose conection inside. We will see how the rest of the process goes and I'll post results just in case someone else is cosidering buying a monitor.
the d.o.a. date had past by 3 days but it dosen't sound like they are going to make me pay for shipping.

fed ex picked up my old monitor on tuesday and delivered me a NEW one today(saturday) works perfectly so far. I have to say I'm disapointed that the 1st one broke, but I understand that a certain percentage of anything mass-manufactured are defective. I am certainly happy with the speed of replacement that I got. If this monitor holds up I would definantly recomend it. looks great, great price.
