Lines!!!

Help why am im getting lines going up and down in my monitor. Yesterday was fine when on it. but today when i satrt up my comp there are lines goung up and down my screen. i think its my video card not my monitor.cos and can use my old graphic card without having lines look at the picture below thats is not exactly waht it looks like but it looks something like that but worst.

definately video card related. I had my GF2 MX400 die on me just like that about 2 or 3 months ago.. had to replace it.

 

o... so can i refund/rexhange or should i buy a new one. here a snqphot of my 10 week old vid card

 

It depends on where you bought it. If you have a warranty on it, then take it back and get it exchanged. Otherwise, you can get a graphics card of equal or better quality for about $50.

If you can't get a refund/exchange, I'd recommend a Geforce 4 TI 4200 (much better than your GF2 MX400 for not much more than $50) as the most inexpensive, a Radeon 9600 Pro (about $125-$150) for mid range, or a Radeon 9800 Pro (about $180-$220) on the high end.
