How do I send a web page link to someone? It seems when I email someone a link to a web page they get the address but are unable to click on it, rather they have to hi-light the url and then right click on it and click on the ''go to www.xyz .com.

    Example:

-I find a anti-virus software on MG or a video on youtube that I want to email someone
-I copy/past the url into the email and send it to the person
-the person opens their email but when they scroll over the url nothing happens (cannot right click on the link)
-if they want to see the link they will either A) have to copy and past it in the address bar or B) hi-light the link, right click it and then on the list they will have to chose the 'go to www.xyz.com"

Basically how can I send and email with a link and the receiver of the email can just click on it to get to the web page?

    I hope I wasn't being to confusing

Thank you in advance for the replies!!!

let me answer your questions to avoid some of the confusion.

    Q. what type of email program are you using?
    A. I use both public email clients (Gmail, hotmail, Outlook and, Yahoo) and work email client (Novell).

Q Why cant they just copy and paste the link into their browser?
A They can, but I was asking how can you copy a web page's url so the receiver can just click on the link rather than copy and paste. A good example would be the news articles (off-base & way off-base) on MG. I don't have to copy and paste the url rather I just click on the link and it redirects me to the web page.

I hope this will be of some help.

    Thanks

It depends what program your using. I use Mozilla Thunerbird, In that you do this:-

    >Click on Insert on the pulldown menu
    >Then goto Link and click on that
    >Paste/Type your link
    >Abra-Cadabara!

Ive never used Outlook or anything else but I imagine it will be very similar

    Hope that helps? ;)

The problem may be more a matter of the email client the person you sent it to is using. If they're using Outlook Express, here's a tip that works quite well.

If clicking a link in Outlook Express doesn't work for you, try this...

    === Yale's Solution
Hold down the Ctrl key, then click the link.
If it doesn't work the first time, not to worry.
Just do it again. But this time...
when you click the link hold the left mouse key down for a count of 3.
