    Hi again !!!
I have mentioned this in the Software section, but didnt seem to get much help. So i hope , i get more convincing replies in the malware section. For the past few weeks, i have been having Links folder created and added all by itself in My Favourite list. Its just an empty folder. I clicked on it to see what it contains, but its just empty. I deletes them, but it seems to return after a few days again.
I ran all procedures from Read And Run sticky, and heres what i came with. Below r the following reports. Since CounterSpy didnt find anything, i got no report for that.
Please check and see whats going on.
    Thanx !!!

PS : It wont let me attach my pandascan reports, saying i had already attached it in the earlier posts. So im gonna put it in here.

    Code:
    Incident Status Location

This is not a malware problem. It is just your misunderstanding of how the Windows OS works. This is a default folder that appears in both IE and in Windows Explorer it is part of the way Windows works and is seen on all PCs unless you manually edit the registry to remove it. You can use the patch below to do this if you really find it necessary to remove the from both IE and Windows Explorer.

Copy the bold text below to notepad. Save it as fixME.reg to your desktop. Be sure the "Save as" type is set to "all files" Once you have saved it double click it and allow it to merge with the registry.
Now run Internet Explorer and manually delete the Links folder from Favorites Menu.

Now reboot! Is the folder gone now?

But that will not work without changing the registry as I indicated.

    Let us know the results.
