Linksys router help

Okay, everything works fine until I try and set up port forwarding. When I do this, I get an intermittent connection.


Linksys tech support has no clue how to fix this, so I'm hoping someone here does.


It's got to be the new firmware, because I had an older model of this same exact router and I was able to do it no problem.

Can you download the old firmware?

 

I'd like to try that, but I'm not sure how.

 

If you give me the model of your router and the current firmware I will go look for older firmware and I'll post you a direct link.

 

Wow, a tech at linksys is actually helping me! I'm shocked, but I really hope this works. Do you think that it might??

Choose the one that you don't currently have, if that doesn't work reset the router back to defaults i guess

 

I've reset it a thousand times. They have it set up so you can't downgrade apparently.

This is a brand new router, I just bought it less than a month ago. And it's been doing the same thing since day one. I've been trying to deal with it since then, but I can't anymore

 

Buy a netgear or a dlink router...don't waste your money on a linksys they are horrible

 

What am I supposed to do with this one? It's well passed the return date. And I don't have the receipt anymore.

 

Shoot it, throw it out the window of your car, kick it....you may even be able to do all 3
