Seriously getting sick and tired of this.

Ok, what happens is, every so often, I mean pretty often actually, my router will just drop my connection and I'll have to reconfigure the whole network. I thought it was my router so I bought a new one yesterday, nope, still happening. I tried googling this and all I see is stuff about MAC addresses.

    Anyone have a clue?

Is it a Linksys router, or is it 3com with Linksys software?

Have you got an item in services called WMP54Gv4SVC. If so disable it and use Windows Zero Wireless Configuration to manage your connection. It will connect automatically and certainly be more stable.

Need more info, router type, connections via wireless or wired? What do you mean by dropped connection? IE is the lan adapter saying cable unconnected or does internet stop working. Firewalls of any sort installed? Who provides your internet service? Have you checked to make sure its not an isp problem?

It's a Linksys BEFSR41, I just bought it yesterday. It's keep a connection for maybe 4 minutes and then disconnecting me.

I don't know why. There is the main computer, a ps2, an xbox 360 and my computer. And it's all wired.
