Well, I picked this little gem up on clearance because I thought it would be a solid replacement for the USB dongle on the Dell. I have an Asus Diamondback RT-N53 router which I picked up from NewEgg on a fire sale deal a few years back.

First I tried the basic setup with WPS. No dice. I then made sure I had the latest firmware updates and proceeded to connect to the router manually. I logged in using 10.10.1.1 and it still wouldn't connect to the Asus. I even manually assigned the :*** IP, and it still would not connect. I even went as far as selecting specific channels via the 5G. Still would not connect to the Asus.

Has anyone dealt with this? Is it a real piece of :crap or will it simply not work with anything except another Linksys?

Actually I was using the 5GHz band, and supposedly this will work with a or ac routers and is backwards compatible with 802.11n.

    Things that make you "hmmmm..."
