Linux 'ssues

for some reason every 2nd time I reboot with normal KDE it doens't load but when I switch to ANY other one it lets me login...


any idea?

 

what distribution are you running? by 'switch to any other one" do you mean a Gnome sesstion or a different OS in the boot loader?

hmm, all I can suggest is updating or reinstalling some or all of the KDE desktop.

Open your package manager and check for any upgradeable KDE components.

 

Using KDM or GDM?

When did it last work?

What did you change?

What happens when you try to start it from a console session?

Troubleshooting 101. Same as windows, we need more information.

Maybe you are being hacked through your DS3 connection

3: Console?? Need to try that... is that the Failsafe option?

4: DS3 is my mobo

 

What version of Beryl?

Have you ermeged the latest version?

When you boot to Sabayon, one of the login options should be Console.
