    Hi All,

Is there any way I can stop XP reordering my folder list to put the last used subfolder at the bottom of the list? I guess they are only trying to help but it doesn't!

    thanks in advance

In your options for the folder go to view and then arrange icons by and choose name. this will list them alphabeticly.

When you create a new sub folder it always appears at the bottom of the list until you close the folder. when you re-open the folder it will be in its place.

Or you can right click inside the folder in a clear or open area and choose refresh that will re-sort the folders also.

Thanks for that, But I'm looking for a permanent solution to this (dis)function. A way to disable it. What I am talking about is differernt to creating a new sub folder: I'm talking about an existing sub folder that has an altered file in it and then displayed at the bottom of the list to "help" me find it.
