little or no connectivity

hope all you snowbelt types are making out ok.
i have the same wireless setup at home and at work but when i enter the access code at work it takes a looong time to connect and when it finally does it says "little or no connectivity" and i can't get online.
does anyone have any suggestions? this is driving me nuts.
btw, i have a 4 yr old hp pavilion zd8000 and it uses a d-link dwl-g650 plug in card

 

Is everything identical between the two setups? What encryption layer are you using? WEP will seem to try to connect and do exactly what you are saying if you have the incorrect WEP key. Check your Access Point configuration and make certain you are entering the correct key.
