live streaming to video

First off with my microhead 1/3" chip ccd color camera single chip camera I have added to show live display on my m2010 dell with a pcexpress firewire card and canopus advc110 analog/digital sig exchanger I have had to use video editing software to see pic. best has been ulead, but I'm not happy. I saw a grabbee x for alot less $$ and probably alot easier to use but I'm not the super geek I want to be has anyone heard of used this Grabbee technology for video capture and is it to good to be true??
All I need is a full screen picture from my microscope mini cam to my laptop for my clients to see their blood. Why is this so difficult to do?? Or is it my blonde hair and lak of geekdom stoppping me ??
