Loading Multiple docs in word 2000

HI All, hope you can help... or worse hope this isn't a dumb question with a REALLY obvious answer.

I work on several projects. Each project has several word (2000) documents which I lay out and order in a specific way (though different for each project). Currently I have to do this manually each time. BUT...

Is there a way I can save a project so that the specific doc uments ALL open at once and return to the lay out on the screen I dictate.

It would be a Master Document.

A master document (master document: A "container" for a set of separate files (or subdocuments). You can use a master document to set up and manage a multipart document, such as a book with several chapters.) contains links (link: Used to insert a copy of information created in one program into a Microsoft Word document while maintaining a connection between the two files. When the information changes in the source file, the changes are reflected in the destination document.) to a set of related subdocuments. Thanks, I looked at it but this seems too complicated for me. I guess I'll just stick with what I'm doing now.

It can be to create a Master Document, but once you get it done it is rather easy to do. Just like creating a master workbook for Excel.
