The past few times I've tried to start up my computer, it claims at the "Welcome" screen that the local profile cannont be found. Possible reasons might be (something about not having security clearance or something). If the exact message is needed I will provide it, but I'm hoping someone knows what's wrong off the top of their head. Windows gives me a temp profile that has NONE of my documents or settings, and all the programs act like their brand new. Needless to say this is quite upsetting.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

P.S-Is is possible to make a backup disc that will fit on one disk?

Go to the properties of My Computer and go to the Advanced Tab. Then click
the "Settings" button under user Profiles.See what profiles are listed in there for starters

    Under user profiles it says

    Rain(My comp's name)/Valued customer 3.57 gigs (Local Type) Backup Status Modified 9/18/05
Rain/Valued Customer 2.05 mb (Local type) Temporary Status modified 9/19/05

Also, the error message in the beginning says the local profile is corrupt, or I possibly have insufficient security rights....
