Hi all, there is a function "Store and display recently open programs in the Start menu", can i just lock 3 icons (permanent display at the lower part) and leave the rest to act as "recently open"?

Would adding the program to the task launcher (just right of the start button) help? To do this, right click on an empty space on the task bar and unlock the task bar. Then find the application .exe and right click copy it. Then right click again to make a shortcut of it and drag it to the launcher area and drop it.

You can also pin application startup shortcuts to the top area of the start menu main menu. I think the application has to be somewhere in your Programs list or in the lower area of the start menu main menu to do this. Just right click on the program icon whereever it is in the start menu and select "Pin to Start menu".

    Hope this is helpful...

Hi thanks for the reply, actually what i want is making the first 3 icons stay at the bottom, whenever i pin a newer shortcut, it will go to the bottom and pushes the icons up.
