Logitec SetPoint stopped working correctly

This is not specific to windows 7. I experience the exact same symptoms when using Logitech setpoint with my mouse on windows XP, have been for months, appears to be completely random, suspect the setpoint software itself or something conflicting, but whatever it is it is very common if its a conflict, my machine has nothing noteworthy on it

I purchased, at great expense, a Logitech MX3200 cordless Keyboard and Mouse set years ago. I also have had troubles with the mouse not operating properly.

I eventually gave up on trying to get the mouse working properly and fitted an old Dell USB corded mouse which works properly.

I love the keyboard, with its larger backspace key and double sized Delete key. Once you have used it, you would never go back to the usual keyboard layout.

The Setpoint software, when you "mouse over" the icon, says the Logitech mouse is working OK despite the fact that the Logitech mouse hasn't been fitted for years. :confused
