logitech installation problem HELP

ok the other day i bought a logitech webcam ..
As i do with any other hardware i tried to run the disk and after that i was going to install the hardware (in this case i was going to plug in the usb cord)
while running the cd i received 2-3 error messages 1 being

"the file 'vidcap.ax' on windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 2 CD is needed."

Type the path where the file is located. and then click ok.

I am trying to do video confrencing with my dad in the military and this problem is getting on my nerves .

Any Help would be /is Greatly appreciated

since i wouldn't recommend anything that i would not try myself,
vidcap.ax is a windows DLL,that you may be able to restore from the disk using this command prompt ( sfc /scannow ....without the parentheses) type that into the run,when prompted insert the OS disk,you may have to repeatedly click til it's finished,but it should restore the missing Dll

registered and downloaded a zip called camera_files
that contains:

ksxbar
mstee
nabtsfec
ndisip
usbaudio
usbcamd
vidcap
wstcodec

what do i do with these files now ......how do i install them ect.....
untill i recieve help in this matter they will be sitting in a file on my desktop
