I have an appointment today at the hospital that is immediately by the entrance of the bridge where the vehicle that mowed down dozens of people entered, and I will be walking across that bridge from Westminster station at the same time as yesterday's attack. I feel incredibly lucky that my appointment was not yesterday. Not just because I might have been injured but I would have seen the carnage.

I was reading about that this morning. What a tragic thing. Those poor people who lost their lives... :( Thoughts going to those in the hospital.

Westminster Bridge and Westminster Underground Station were both still closed when I went to hospital but they are now open.
My thoughts go the the families and friends of the deceased:
    Police Constable Keith Palmer
Aysha Frade - British national of Spanish and Cypriot parentage
Kurt Cochran - from the US state of Utah who was in London as part of a holiday in Europe to celebrate 25 years of marriage to his wife Melissa, who was seriously hurt in the attack.
And to the many injured, including three Police Officers who are still in critical condition, and many others from all over Europe and Asia

This is a lovely message from staff at London Underground:

Frightening that this person was English born and indoctrinated within country and while it was noted he was a "lone wolf ", ISIS claimed his works.

I find this frightening. April last year we also had a "lone wolf" (no ISIS claims) with a mid-city Sydney siege at a popular coffee shop, with hostages ending in the deaths of two hostages, the manager and a Sydney lawyer (whom my colleagues and I knew and worked with in the past).

This is the most frightening because it can happen any where, any time.

But on a positive, regardless, we still snub our noses at attempts to limit our liberties and move forward, same as shown by the British and noted by its Prime Minister May by quickly continuing with life and our business!

Weirdly Max I was meant to be in London on Monday Tuesday this week for a meeting we have annually, but it was moved to Belfast, not that Moorfields is too close to WM but.....

I have to say faith in many groups and in MPs or should I say Tobias Ellwood is restored, as he ran into the unknown to try and save the PC Palmer (who himself ran unarmed to the attacker), but then that was his military background, so support for our military is paramount.

Sadly you can never spot a terrorist or stop this type of attack, in UK we have lived with this throughout the IRA days.

Personally, I think it's a mistake to refer to this attack as 'terrorism' since though it was an act of 'terror' it isn't even remotely comparable to armed trained groups who plan and carry out attacks in numbers. Long before the 1991 crisis in the Middle East and all the events after, this man was a violent criminal, and probably mentally ill. In that sense he is no different to the man who brutally murdered the Member of Parliament Jo Cox during the EU referendum campaign. A mentally deranged man whose mental health drove him. That is often the case with non-Middle East residents who become 'radicalised'. I firmly believe most of them are totally round the twist.
