Long Boot Start Up..

    Hello, First time on the thread..
    I don't know if thsi is normal or not but when I start my computer there seems to be a lond boot ime about 3 minutes.. Is that normal? I Defraged, Did Disk, Clean up, Full Sstem scan. I just wanted to know if there is something I may be able to do.

    There may be something you can do, typically the long "boot" time is slowed down depending on how many startup items you have. Some are necessary, some are not.

    If you were to go to START, RUN, then type in msconfig (press enter), then select the startup tab. This is all the items that startup when you first boot (or logon to a user account) your machine.

    Like I said before, some are necessary, some are not.

    Thak you for the information. Which one's would be absolutaly necessary and which can I do without?

    Well, you can do one of two things. Post a listing of all your startup items, or post a HijackThis log here as an atachment ONLY.

    Note to the mods: I'm only going to go through: O4.
