has anyone got a mouse that has a really long cable (1-2m) that they would recommend for someone to buy? im looking on amazon right now for a new mouse but they dont show the cable lengths...

OR has anyone got a wireless mouse that is cheap that they would recommend?

    thanks in advance for replies.

You could get a USB mouse and an extension cable. I think the limit then is 10m!

Wireless mice are no good for gaming or anywhere you need precision as, with all the ones I've used, they behave weird sometimes. The mouse just shoots off in a direction or it goes to sleep to save the battery and is sluggish to wake up. It a tiny delay but enough to get annoying after a while. Mind you I've only ever bought the cheap ones. I only used wired now.

I have a wireless Logitech laser mouse, I paid $50 for it and have used it for well over a year with no issues. It takes two AA batteries, and they last forever (and I don't power off the mouse when I'm not using it). I think I've changed the batteries once or twice so far.

I don't think they make the particular model I have anymore, but this one looks really good:

Also, since it tracks with a laser vs. optical, it doesn't have the precision issues a lot of wireless mice have. And it never "goes to sleep" or anything, either.

Amazon had a reviews section for people that have used it. It looks like it falls more in the category of mice I've owned, rather than the one described by mcsmc.

    "a big laggy"
"if you dont game but it"

But them there's a few guys who rate it 5* so who you gonna believe :) . Like I said the mouse I used we're fine for everyday use and any lag was tiny but noticeable. Perhaps the 5* raters just didn't care, or the lower star raters are overly picky. Maybe it's is good. Opinions, unfortunately, only go so far in reviewing a product.

Curiously even some high star raters go on to list issues with it :\

    Awesome mouse! Logitech G5

The cable is at least 2 meters.

LauraR, do you have this mouse or are you saying it is good based on the sites review?

I'm using it right now. ;)

It has weights so you can set those. Plus it has settings for responsiveness.
