long pause in bootup

This is no biggie but it's annoying. confused I had to RMA my ASUS K8V mobo. New one works fine but ever since installation, it pauses for about 3 1/2 minutes when it reaches the "initializing USB controllers" step during bootup. I've tried removing all USB devices with no improvement. Even disconnected all the installed hardware (HDD, CD/DVD burner, etc.) but that didn't change anything, either. According to Belarc Advisor the BIOS version on the board is the same as the latest one at the ASUS download site. Am I missing something? Would it help to update the BIOS even though it would be with the same version? The BIOS is AMI Version 1007 which was also on the RMA'd mobo. Any hints will be appreciated. Thanks.

Maybe check in the BIOS to see if there is anything in regards to checking for USB devices (especially in a boot menu capacity). Either turn it off or lower it down the list of priorities.

If my memory serves me correctly look in Intergrated Peripherals (in Bios) and lower the voltage.

Thanks, Toke, I'll give it a try.
