Long Start Up Time

My wife's laptop takes forever to start up and log into our server.

Is there any basic (and I emphasize BASIC) help out there somewhere?

Man i was just talking about basic cleaning...

if you think you might have malware, you should ask the guys in the malware section for help with that. only experienced malware people in the malware section can answer the malware stuff for you in that section.
