Look2Me removal . . .

    Okay, I've tryied both of the removal programs listed on this site, with no luck Look2me Destroyer and Look2meRemover to no avail . . . Look2me, never reopens, I've also tried it in safe mode. Look2meRemover, just freezes after about a minute of running it.

    Look2me is the only current malware on this machine that the crap load of programs I've got(hijack this, AVG, AntiVir, Ad-Aware, Zone Lab . . . spybot SD) has been able to find, how ever they all seem to be scared of it. I'm currently running. Windows XP home SP1, the only reason I am running SP1, is 'coz windows updates aren't installing correctly, also with running SP1 I can't run windows defender . . .

    More system specs : 1.4 GIG AMD Athlon XP, 3.2 gig HDD, don't laugh its a temp untill I can buy a new one. 256 MB memory . . . erm . . . help me

    Please follow our standard cleaning procedures which are necessary for us to provide you support. Also there are steps included for installing, running, and posting HijackThis logs as attachments.
    • Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support
    • Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.
    • Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.
    • After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis and attach a log:
    • When you return to make your next post, make sure you attach the following logs and that you have run these scans in the following order too (these scans are covered in steps 6 & 7 of the READ & RUN ME sticky)
      • Bitdefender
      • Panda Scan
      • HijackThis
