Looking Back A Couple Thousand Threads

This part of the forum (and many forums as well) currently contains over 4,500 threads. To look backwards in time I am given this option:

1, 2, 3, ... 4500

which is useless if I want to see (for example) thread #3200.

Is there a way to I jump right away to say, thread # 2500 and continue looking back in time from that point?

I couldn't figure out how to use the link. When I click it, I'm taken to page 6 and that's that. To be more specific, I could not see where to change the "6" in your link to anything else.

Many forums let one click on the "..." that's between the page numbers and then let you enter a page number to jump to. Some forums have a specific icon at the end of the page numbers that, when you click on it, give you the opportunity to enter a page number, but I can't find anything like that in this forum.
