Looking for a free Reminder program for Win 7-64.

I have been using MiniMinder for years with XP but it doesn't want to work reliably with my Win7/64.

In looking at the reviews there seems to be problems with nearly all the free offerings.

I'd rather have a simple program than one that does everything.

I'm most interested in seeing how many days there are until an event occurs (which MiniMinder was excellent at doing).

Any suggestions?

If you maintain an online calendar, such as Google or Outlook.com, you don't need third party software as you can set the reminder period when creating each event or you can set the default reminder to x days.

 

Yeah. I forgot to mention I don't use those services.

I've been playing with this Holiline Reminder and it seems pretty much what I was looking for. There aren't a lot of reminders I need. I like the way it shows up (or not show up) above the task bar when some event is approaching and shows how many days away it is.

If anyone has used MiniMinder in the past and finds it's not working beyond XP they should try this one.

Let's see if it survives a few shutdowns and reboots.
