looking for a little support on a build

howdy fellas,
i'm looking for a little support on a build project not yet started.
i dont want to spend toooo much money on a system i wont use max potential out of however i am hooked up with a member who's been o/c'n for a few centuries now so i dont want sumthin non user friendly ie intel

i've been lookin at the asus m2m-sli deluxe with a chip like amd athlon 64x2 3800 -4800
but i know nothing about the am2 boards and in reality i know nothing about most of this just i would like to not have to buy another board for a few years and i want sumthin screamin i game aswell so if any suggestions are out there or comments on either of those products i'd like to hear them.

right now i have an ecs k8m800m2 with amd 64 2800+ g-force 6200 not many options with this board and to o/c it is a waste of time i feel.
