Looking For An Automatic Duplicate File Remover

    Hello. I don't know enough to know which duplicate files to remove so am looking for a program to do that. As well, I have too many duplicates to go through so a program is quicker. Looking for one with a free version or free trial. Using Windows 7 service pk 1, on a Dell computer. Thanks for any suggestions.

    Just because there are duplicate files doesn't mean they aren't needed for the OS. If you just start removing them you will soon have a bricked OS.

    Duplicate finders should only be used on targeted areas like looking for a lost duplicate file that you know exists but can't find. Or for duplicate images, music or video files.

    Then don't remove them.

    If it were me, I'd probably only do images and videos, if I were sure I had them archived off the computer.
    I used this program https://antitwin.org/en/
    to compare two pdf files to see if they were the same. It is the only thing I used it on so I can't review duplicates image search.
