Im in xp Regeditor looking to add a registry to a program.

What i want it to do is not auto start.

What kinda Regedit kinda i use for auto start and turning it off.

    REG_BINARYhexadecimal
    REG_DWORDdword
    REG_EXPAND_SZhexadecimal(2)
    REG_MULTI_SZhexadecimal(7)

Witch of these should i use to make the program to stop starting with windows.

There is very rarely any need to manipulate the registry manually. Never, actually, if you are not 100% sure what you are doing.

Making changes to your startup list is definitely not one of them! Especially since startup items may not only be defined in the registy.

There is a multitude of tools available that let you safely disable or remove startup items, e.g. CCleaner (Tools | Startup), or any of the tools that mjnc posted earlier.

But blindly editing the registry is more fun!
