me and my mother was going through her old 45's and such and came across a old Beatles 45. this one has "The long and winding road" and "for you blue" i wanted to know how much can we get out of it. its from the beatles motion picture "let it be" it has G, harrison P, McCartney and J, lennon on it.

she has 100's of 45's and the big "72's"? if i was able to make a list of them all can i get some help finding how much she can get for them.

she has from the beatles to foghat to "the spy who loved me" 72 for the 007 movie with roger moore:eek:

Same here I have a 3 feet tall pile my mum asked me to throw out,I couldnt, loads from the 60's 70's,unfortunately they arnt worth much at all,if you type the names into EBAY you'll find about 10 or so of the chart albums being auctioned at any one time they were just so popular millions were made as you know its rarety that makes them valuable and even then not by much, they usually go for a few bucks, almost not worth the trouble of ebaying them:confused:

Film soundtracks are often worth more as less of them were sold, what you'll find also the really obscure bands that didnt sell in the day are now worth alot as there are so few of them out there

EDIT I also have alot of stand up comedy, some of the very first bill cosby stand up performances

theres crap loads of them :D http://search.ebay.com/bill-cosby-lp_W0QQfromZR40

Nah it probably wont be as much as you expect but if you sell them all you should reach way beyond $100 which is always useful:)

I've got the original vinyl version of Metal Machine Music. One of the few that weren't returned and melted. I can't find out if it's worth anything though.

Well, you never know I guess... Check out this article from today's CNN online where somebody bought a record for 75 cents four years ago (at a Manhattan flea market) in 2002 and sold it on ebay for over 150 grand!

Record bought at flea market fetches $155,401

    According to the CNN article...

"The recording turned out to be an in-studio acetate made during Velvet Underground's first recording over four days in April 1966 at New York's Scepter Studios. The record reportedly is only one of two in existence; the other is privately owned, with rumors circulating about the owner's identity. Columbia Records rejected the album."

    Good Luck!
