    My current Cpu is a

    AMD Athlon II X2 260 Regor 3.2GHz Socket AM3 65W Dual-Core Desktop Processor ADX260OCGMBOX

    Off of Newegg.com

    I was either thinking of getting a X3 X4 or X6 core

    I can upgrade to a x8 core

But i want some thing smaller then the 8 core for now i here it is not good for gameing.

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...=AMD 3&name=CPUs / Processors&Order=BESTMATCH

My PSU is a 550 Watt

My Video card is a GTX 550 Ti Super Clocked bye Factory Default.

    I have 3 120mm fans and a 80mm.

    2 Hdds 1 DVD /Rw Rom Burner.

8 core just cost too much for me right now I am waiting for my one power supply to drop in price its like 300$ for a 1200 watt.

I was thinking of Either a x4 or x6 AMD x3's i think are kinda pointless one core more then my x2.

And for as much as i throw at my x2 core i see very little Bottlenecking.Even with higher end video and gaming.

I might be thinking of Getting this model Cpu.

    AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition Deneb 3.4GHz Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor

Seems to be a better CPU for 109$.

What kind of mobo do you have? My Asus has a core unlocker feature and I turned an AMD X2 555 3.2 GHz, into a 4.0 GHz X4 B55 CPU. The loot I saved on the X2 CPU helped spring for the motherboard.

According to your specs, your board can unlock cores. There is an X2 Callisto core which would save you $20.

BUT, maybe the "real thing" is worth the twenty bucks? The X2 would have the same cache size as the X4, and you wouldn't have to play with it. When I snagged my "X2", X4 CPUs were much more expensive. Like sixty bucks less expensive than the X4 at the time.

For the extra twenty bucks, it would be X4, no tweaking...
