Lookslike:"BAT.GEN

    Greetings!

    While going through my monthly deep clean, Bitdefender found lookslike:BAT.Gen.

    I have worked through the Read&Run first...
    CCleaner... done
    Adaware... found nothing...
    same for spybot
    WMP found nothing
    Defender found and cleaned one thing...

    I know I have KGB keylogger... downloaded it from here...

    Bitdefender found it here:
    C:\System Volume Information\_restore{673A78F8-174D-47B8-8843-81EF140C0417}\RP80\A0017595.BAT

    This is your System Restore folder. The only way to fix items in System Restore is to disable system restore and run your scan. Then reboot and then enable System Restore.

    Thanks for taking the time to look into that for me!
    I figured that, but wanted to check before I did anything with it.

    One other thing, if I may...
    Sygate routinely logs 2-3 "Port Scans" daily... is this normal?

    Yes! Sometimes you will see alot more. That is why you need a firewall to block them.
