lop.com adware took over web browser help!

    hi im new here, the computer recently got infected with some adware which has made using IE a nightmare, the links on the adware go to Lop.com.
    is it possible that my dad might of installed without knowing wat is was cos just today i saw he was going to install some registry cleaner from a random pop up wtf?(luckly i was home to stop him).

    Please do not post any logs inline with messages. They must be attachments as indicated in the sticky thread procedures.

    Please follow our standard cleaning procedures which are necessary for us to provide you support. Also there are steps included for installing, running, and posting HijackThis logs as attachments. Note that HijackThis must be installed properly. This is all covered below.

    Your LOP infection is more than like due to installing MessengerPlus3. Goto Add/Remove programs and uninstall it and all the 3rd party crud that comes with it.

    Is the below something from your ISP? It is pretty dumb of them to install in a temp folder.

    The info I have on it says.
    - Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support

    Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.

    - Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.


    After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis and attach a log:
