LOP.Com searchbar-won't go away,any one help

I have tried everything in the 'READ ME FIRST BEFORE ASKING FOR SUPPORT: Basic Spyware, Trojan And Virus Removal' ,but it just won't remove the annoying LOP.com searchbar from my browser. I did have some icons on my desktop aswell for some time which I couldn't remove. I got rid of them by following directions in above link but no joy with the searchbar.
Have updated all the acquired spyware programs and scans.
Please help someone. Sorry if there is already a forum for this question,but I have looked but can't see nowt. Point me in the right direction.

 

If you are absolutley sure that you have exhausted all options and followed all directions in the READ ME FIRST BEFORE ASKING FOR SUPPORT: Basic Spyware, Trojan And Virus Removal then go ahead and read the next guide regarding posting your HJT log and again make sure that you follow the HJT Log posting guide and have Hijackthis in its own folder, for example C:\Program Files\HJT and attach your log in your next post.

Make sure you have HijackThis 1.99 and follow the guidelines on where to install it and how to post a log as an attachment. This is all covered in the sticky thread
NO HIJACK THIS LOG FILES BEFORE READING THIS: HJT Tutorial & LOG File Posting

Now post a HijackThis log as an attachment to your message (Do not post the log inline). All running programs should be closed, including your web browser, e-mail. Close before running Hijack This!

To repeat: Do NOT run Hijack This from the Desktop, a temp folder, or a sub-folder of C:\Documents and Settings, or choose to run it directly from the downloaded ZIP file. Place it in its own folder, for example C:\Program Files\HJT

After you post back with your log file as an attachment please be patient as it will be read by someone with more experience in dealing with HJT logs. Many are extremely busy with helping others and with things in their daily lives so please be patient.

Do you happen to have the program for messenger installed called Messenger Plus?? This is known for creating LOP problems on computers and should be uninstalled.

Hi Thanks very much for the speedy reply. It is very much appreciated. It's nice to know where to come when my pc really starts to wind me up.
I read your reply and tried all the steps in the 'READ ME FIRST BEFORE ASKING FOR SUPPORT: Basic Spyware, Trojan And Virus Removal' link just to make sure. Again no change to my aquired freind,Lop.com searchbar, so i was just about to reply to you. However, Microsoft update has been nagging me for a while to install service pack 2. I have ignored this due to installing a few months back and it completely crippled my system. It was slow as hell, kept crashing and so I uninstalled it. Have you ever heard about service pack 2 doing this to operating systems? Anyway I have reinstalled it and it seems to have got rid of the task bar, Hooray. I am just waiting for my system to crash as it did before but am happy that I've got rid of that parasite. I'd just like to ask if you can suggest anything I can do IF service pack 2 does start playing up. It seems to have sorted my original dilema,But as I'm sure your aware, in the world of pc's it's one thing after another.

Hi, since my last post everything was running fine. not a care in the world. Then about SIX HOURS since i downloaded SP2, the damn parasitic,f~~@@@g s?@T LOP.COM wa@~Lr search bar is back. Please anyone out there who knows how to rid my PC of this absolute shite piece of marketing let me know. I am that close to picking up my PC and throwing it through the window. Why do you do it microsoft, why? I tell you, it's all a conspiracy to get everyone to buy ANTI SPYWARE software to rid ourselves of this dirty crap. Let's create a dirty piece of software ,then charge people to fix it with numerous programs. Banish you all to the dark depths of hell.........

Send us a HijackThis log as per the directions in the link Shewolf posted and somebody will assist you further.

Hi I've completed the HJT log and really need some help. Anyone out there who can help. I need to rid my PC of this filth. I thought I would have heard something by now. Anyone available. PLEASE............................................
