Losing browser...........

When I open a certain site, everything is ok and then when I click on their webcam and it starts to open, I lose site/browser everything. My daughter who has same browsers (FF/IE) and same anti-virus/firewall opens camera pefectly. I have Dell 4600 w/XP home and PcCillin security package. I am on broadband. Any ideas? thanks

What are your system specs? RAM etc

 

It is likely a problem with your firewall/security/antivirus program. Try disabling PC-Cillin completely and see if it makes a difference... you may need to uninstall it to be sure if it's the cause of the problem, but if you are unable to reinstall it, you may not want to do this. I know Norton and McAfee antivirus/firewall programs can be the cause of similar (and more drastic) problems and the problems are rectified only when the programs are completely removed.

Have you been able to use a web-cam successfully from other sites? Does your PC have a cam? Does it work OK with instant messaging (for example)?
